Wilsonart UK is seeking a driven Specification Sales professional to develop and secure new product specifications, primarily within the commercial design community – including architects, designers, contractors, facility managers, and end users. This role combines relationship-building, technical expertise, and strategic sales to create value and grow Wilsonart’s presence in key projects. It is a telesales role with some client facing

Responsibilities
  • Drive specification sales within the Student Accommodation sector and across the full product portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, and other specifiers.
  • Identify and engage with potential projects using lead-generation tools (e.g., Glenigan, LinkedIn, Google).
  • Present Wilsonart products and ranges, providing guidance on features, benefits, and application suitability.
  • Supply samples and marketing materials; follow up with meetings and calls to support decision-making.
  • Manage projects end-to-end, from prospecting to pipeline conversion.
  • Cross-sell and up-sell products, ensuring they are positioned effectively in design applications.
  • Maintain an electronic customer base and portfolio of contacts for future opportunities.
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years’ sales experience, preferably within the commercial and residential design communities.
  • Technical product knowledge and ability to sell products and concepts.
  • Proven experience in lead generation and managing a sales pipeline.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) and telesales experience with some client-facing interaction.
  • Ability to make professional presentations and provide technical guidance to customers.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Highly proactive, self-motivated, and result-oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel as necessary.
